I have to admit last spring when I started reading that the PS3 was going to support the Fold@Home project I thought this was going to be more empty promises similar to the PS3 supporting two HDMI outputs and support for six controllers at once. But when Sony announced that the 1.60 firmware update had the client built into it I was very happy.
So if you do not have a team to belong to we would welcome you to our team. The Around the Controller Network is happy to have you help the smart people at Stanford and other research facilities find a cure for some of the terrible diseases that are plaguing mankind today.
I will post a You Tube video of how to get this working on the PS3 and how to get signed up for our team or any other team. But for the rest of you it is very easy to get started. Our team number is 61882.
Let’s get folding.

Ken Kutaragi has put in two month notice. Ken will step down as Chairman and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Ken was the President and CEO of SCEI, but then there were some waves that shook up the Sony PlayStation ship, and Kaz Hirai took the wheel. But do not plan on seeing Ken put out to pasture just yet, he will stay on as honorary chairman of SCEI and handle some senior technology advisement to the parent company Sony.

Ok! So we finally have some really great titles on our beloved Playstation 3 after a very, no extremely long dryspell for lack of a better word, when it comes to new releases for the PS3.
If you have been like me you have been trying to hold that smile and say, “Nope. Nothing wrong here.” During that period you have probably been hitting “Resistance” a lot, which is great because it’s a fantastic title.
Now we have a little to smile about. With the recent additions of “Motorstorm”, “Oblivion”, and cross platform titles like “Vitua Tennis 3″, which you should own already, great game.
So my question is this: What system or game has been keeping you sane while you have been waiting for these great titles, and for the upcomming titles such as “Rainbow Six Vegas” in May, “Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare 2″ in June, “Lair”, which I think is going to be fantastic when it is released in July, and the long wait for “Home” in the fall?
Will the two little companies in Redmond, Washington be keeping you busy, or will Sony be your gaming lover even though it has abandoned the 20 Gigabyte model?
What say yee?
